About

Refugee and Immigrant Self Empowerment’s (RISE) Seward St Garden began in 2017 as a place to provide New American farmers with the skills and resources to grow and sell culturally appropriate foods in CNY. Since then, RISE’s Agriculture Program has expanded to include 3 community gardens, as well as a large vegetable farm in Oswego County. Currently, the Seward St Garden hosts 6 gardeners from 4 different countries, who use the garden to grow food for their families and beautiful sunflowers in the raised beds on site.
