About

Refugee and Immigrant Self Empowerment’s (RISE) Lodi St Garden began after gardeners at RISE’s Seward St Garden outgrew the space and sought to continue gardening on the Northside of Syracuse. Since 2018, the Lodi St Garden has provided New American farmers with the skills and resources to grow and sell culturally appropriate foods in CNY. Since then, RISE’s Agriculture Program has expanded to include a 3rd community garden, as well as a large vegetable farm in Oswego County. Currently, the Lodi St Garden hosts 7 gardeners from 2 different countries, who use the garden to grow food for their families in the raised beds on site.
